Sunday 19 May 14:00-17:30 - Say Yes To You (Part 2)

The Lung channel is associated with taking a deep breath, when we take a deep breath we are saying yes to ourselves, at least in that moment. This class is a combination of yoga and meridian therapy as we explore a dynamic sequence of chest opening poses to access the long channel to help improve deeper breathing. 

Followed by self-acupressure work and meridian meditation, participants will learn how to direct breath into the acupressure points that are specific to connecting to our own personal gifts.  



Meet Your Teacher

Jambo is a multi-disciplinary practitioner who has 2 decades working as a bridge between complementary medicine and western medical care. He has worked in both mainstream healthcare as a consultant of complementary medicine informing UK local authorities on the use of complementary medicine for addiction, trauma and chronic pain. In recent years he has shared these insights with practitioners of yoga, bodywork and other well-being driven practitioners. Jambo is also a public speaker, practitioner of Classical East Asian Medicine, Forrest Yoga Guardian and Psychomagic Magician. Jambo's teaching style is embodied, he priorities the practitioners experience to enable the learning process. Expect a real-talking, humorous and informative experience.

The studio is a stunning barn conversion full of natural light with high ceilings and underfloor heating. Our programme includes: power yoga with Stevie, focusing on core strength and stability to raise your vibrations; slow flow with Veronique, offering energizing inclusive movement and mindfulness; and sound baths & transformative breathwork from Ali, Nurturing Folk, for healing, meditation and deep rest.

Delicious Healthy and Nutritious Food

Each morning, our very own chef will also be spoiling you with nutritious gourmet vegetarian food and some tasty pre-yoga morning detox juices followed by a delicious healthy breakfast, vegetarian lunch & dinner. Fresh fruit, herbal teas and coffee available all day.

There will be also be plenty of time to relax in hammocks, enjoy the stunning gardens, experience cold freshwater swims, or soak in the hot tub and for the more energetic there is even a tennis court!

There’ll be plenty of time and space to slow down, pause and connect with your surroundings. Walk around the beautifully manicured gardens, wonder through nature or explore acres of tree-lined fields. Alternatively, enjoy a personal treatment, tennis courts, freshwater swimming, chill around a campfire  or relax in a Scandinavian wood fired hot tub.

Anatomy of Inversions workshop with Jambo

Jambo frequently travels teaching workshops based on Forrest Yoga, Functional Anatomy and Native practices of the Medicine People. He is also an experienced bodyworker and bodywork teacher based on his multi-disciplinary practise of structural alignment, muscles testing and classical East Asian medicine.

As a Forrest Yoga Guardian and travelling assistant to Ana Forrest, he is committed to delivering the healing practice of Forrest Yoga in its most authentic form. He supplements asana workshops with sessions on functional anatomy, neuro-science, applied kinesiology and structural bodywork. He has an immense amount of passion explaining why what we do works.

Anatomy of Inversions teaches practitioners how to understand the pathway of breath and in this class, how it moves from diaphragm to core to shoulders. By understanding this kinetic pathway, practitioners are able to work out where they can go deeper with their personal practice. 

Expect yoga sequences that show how to isolate individual muscles of the core for maximum core power. Learn how to stabilise shoulder muscles to bring more confidence to your practise and resolve compensation patterns so that you can put your very best forwards. 

There will be multiple options for each pose to give practitioners a general idea of how to improve their relationship with inversions.

Can I join later?

Yes. If you miss the start and still want to take part that’s no problem at all. You can join the 30 day challenge at any time, just start coming to classes and record your progress. Join in when you can as we’d love to have you onboard!
