FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Am I ready to do a 200-hour teacher training?
A: We welcome all levels of ability into our teacher training. The main thing we require is that you are bodily aware and keen to learn! As a guide we say approx. 100 hours or 1 year of regular yoga prior to starting the course, however this is very individual and you may need less if you already practice regularly at Love Yoga Peckham.
Q: Do I need to do a headstand in order to do teacher training?
A: No, absolutely not! We are not training you for the yoga olympics! Being able to do advanced poses does not make you a better teacher. During the training you will do loads of yoga so your technique and experience will grow. You'll also learn the ability to live authentically and this will make you a much more powerful, inspiring and magnetic teacher.
Q: I'm not even sure that I want to teach yoga, so what will I get out of it?
A: Even if teaching yoga isn't your ultimate goal, a teacher training programme will take your knowledge to a whole new level mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. You’ll learn the skills to transform your life on and off the mat and with good focus and renewed purpose a new path may become clear.
