FABULOUS FORREST WORKSHOP Sat 25th Apr 2-4pm

We can’t wait for this Forrest Yoga workshop! With a focus on unwinding tension in neck and shoulders, softening muscles around chest and hip areas, this workshop will be fun yet challenging. Core strengthening work and abdominal exercises are designed to create heat, relieve back pain and help move stuck energy. This, along with the longer holds in poses will let you actually feel what is happening in the body rather than blocking it out.

More classes to come soon!

Studio 54 continuing classes

We are closely following the government and NHS guidelines regarding COVID-19 in order to ensure that the studio remains a safe and welcoming place.

It is important to stay calm, and as we're all aware the practice of yoga is extremely helpful in keeping us present, grounded and strong. At this stage, we need plenty of sleep, good hydration, a nutritious diet and a healthy lifestyle in order to strengthen our immune system and fight infection.

If you have any symptoms of a cold, cough, fever or generally feel unwell please DO NOT come to class.

It is essential that we all continue to wash our hands thoroughly before entering the studio, use a yoga towel or hand towel on our mat for practice, use tissues and are mindful of personal space and social distancing.

In order to protect the health of our teachers, students, families and community, we are now introducing some further precautionary measures at the studio.

* Reduced number of classes on timetable
For the time being the studio timetable has been reduced with back to back classes temporarily suspended.

* Reduced class capacity
Class sizes will now be limited to 11 students plus the teacher.

* Staggered mats
Staggering spaces between mats will allow more personal space.

* LIVE STREAMING of classes
We're going to introduce LIVE STREAMING of some classes to allow you to practice in a group class at home with a LIVE teacher instructing and cueing. More details on the website and timetable.

These measures will be in place for the immediate future but as we are in a rapidly changing situation, guidance will be monitored and reviewed on a daily basis. There is the possibility that classes may need to be cancelled at short notice, so please make sure that you check your messages and the website for any updates.

Staying healthy - extra precautions

Staying healthy - extra precautions

staying healthy.png

In order to maintain good health amongst our community we are taking extra precautions at the studio, for the time being, to make sure it remains a safe and welcoming environment for us all.

All our mats, props, bottles, common surfaces and handles are sprayed and wiped down before and after every class. The teachers at Studio 54 will be exercising further precautions and there are a number of things you can do to help...

* Wash your hands
Please wash your hands with soap before entering the studio or use the hand sanitiser now provided at the entrance. We have three wash basins available in the studio for your use (two in the corridor and one in the shower room).

* Bring a hand towel to class
If you have your own yoga mat you are welcome to bring it, if not, please bring your own towel to use during practice. It doesn’t need to be a yoga towel - a hand towel will work just as well. If you don’t have one, then we sell them at the studio.

* Spray your mat after class
All the mats are sprayed with our natural disinfectant. Please spray and wipe down your mat / props thoroughly after class.

* Look after yourself and others
If you need to sneeze, for whatever reason, please use a tissue and dispose of straight away before washing your hands. If that's not possible for some reason please sneeze into your elbow.

* Stay at home if you feel unwell
If you do feel unwell, please don’t come to class and instead focus on rest and recuperation.

Being mindful of these simple steps will help us all stay healthy.
